Painting is an ancient mystery from caves; my focus is the occurrence of this mystery. Heidegger says that the Work of Art has its own Being; I am only interested in paintings which have such Being. The mystery of Painting is related to the mystery of being in a human body. The painter is a conduit for chanelling the bodily energy of existence into paintings; this is what enables paintings to have Being.
